Dear Mickey/Squeeks. This is also a tribute to Margaret, Stry & Ouma. You chose well in finding Margaret as your lover. You were stuck in Van der Bijlpark as an apprentice millwright at Iscor. In Margaret's family you found a loving home where you were accepted as you are. A home more suited than the rough achieving high temper "Ingleneuk" farm you were born into. The truth must be out. You were a Scrooge. You bought a goon for a penny and wouldn't sell for two shillings. You saved your pocket money instead of splurgeing out on sweets for Paula & I. Yet you were pound foolish. Did you ever make money on the stock exchange ? Despite all, you were loved by all at home. Your boys are proud, emotive & ambitious and it comes from YOU. For the past 5 years you lived in the alive parts of body and brain. I know you ENJOYED every minute.

Michael, you had a life of challenges but also so many wonderful things. I will remember you as a calm and gentle person. Thanks to you and Margaret, I have a wonderful, loving, caring husband in Sean. Together we have two amazing children, Hayden and Jessica, in whom we see little glimmers of their Oupa. You were very brave, now you are free. We will remember you always with love.

Love you Dad! You are definitely a fighter all the way to the end, most of which I put down to your positive attitude and continuous smile - event at the most difficult of times.
