Marie was one of those rare people who, no matter the length of time known, leave a permanent impact on your life. I loved the time we spent together at MHF and feel very fortunate to have known her. Marie told the best stories, had lived an amazing life and had the most wicked sense of humour. Her passion for representing older people was incredible and she smashed the stereotypes left, right and centre. But most of all though, I will remember her amazing hugs and her sharing of the 10 second rule - brilliant. You will be missed and are loved by many. Lots of love - Gail

The link between Marie, her family and mine stretches over many years plus several oceans and remains strong to this day. Marie was a fine example of womanhood as it has developed over the past nine decades in her ability to combine the roles of being a wife and mother with several demanding careers of unstinting service to the communities of her own and adopted countries- doing them all without fuss and with a delightful sense of humour, wisdom and loving kindness.
