"Passed away after a short illness on Tuesday 12 September 2017. Partner of Julie, father of Julie and father in law to Tom, step father of Kelly and partner Ann Marie. A service for John will be held at The North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Monday 18 September at 1PM followed by private cremation"

"Dearest John I know you will be sadly missed by so many in this world. I wish to thank you and Julie, for the kindness that you showed to myself and my son Simon when he was so unwell that Xmas Day and I didn't know what was happening for him. Your advice helped him immensely at that time. Plus the other times we did meet at family gatherings, you were so nice and I have some lovely memories of chatting and laughing with you and Julie.
