"Today I feel a great sense of loss. Mac and Norma, were cruising sailing mentors for Cath and I. Mac was a maritime adventurer and had a wonderful sense of fun about him. His sailing exploits including a circumnavigation and hand building his beautiful Townsend yacht were inspiring. We will sadly miss his presence on the water and at the beach bbq’s with the Royal Akarana Yacht Club cruising fleet. But we will forever be grateful for having been lucky enough to have met him and Norma. May he Rest In Peace with dear Norma, and may they both forever find smooth seas and following winds."
