Beloved sister and sister in law of Margaret McFarlane (dec.), Barbara and Neil Mountier ( dec.), and Jocelyn (dec.) and Ron Thornton. Much loved aunt of Miriam and Malcolm; Vivienne, Cathy, Dinah and Jane; and Jenny, John, Paul (dec.) and Claire. Loved and respected by their partners and children. Dearly loved friend of Terry Lomas, Brian Mearns and their partners. Jean was Head of Religious Studies at Homerton College, Cambridge, UK, prior to her retirement. She made a significant contribution within her field. We have been blessed to have her back in New Zealand for her retirement years. A funeral service for Jean will be held at St John the Baptist Anglican Church, 47 Church Street, Northcote, on Friday 17 August at 12.00 pm, followed by natural burial at Waikumete Cemetery.
