Dear Koorts family, The AFS community, The Jones family & Jones& Sandford Timber & Hardware 1999 Ltd HR management team pass our collective condolences to your family. My contact with Diana was through community work with AFS, with our business through EMA, & later ABMM on both a family & business levels, her advice being valued & in many cases acted upon. I have always looked forward to meeting Diana on social & business occasions & at her or our workplace where she always enquired about the family & at the time Anita who was on exchange. God speed Diana, we will miss your presence.
Dear Martin, Ryan and Hayley I was with deep shock that I learnt of Diana's illness and then her death last week. My sincerest and deepfelt condolences to all of you, to Lorna and family and to Robin and family. I met Di at Hyde Park High when I started high school and we became firm and close friends from 1969 to when she emigrated to NZ. Sadly with so much distance between us we did not speak or see one another much since her move to NZ. However I was able to see her around five years ago at Robin and Jaqui's home in Johannesburg and it was as if there had neither been so many years, nor so much distance, between us. We instantly connected to one another again. I was also privileged to have met Ryan that same day. I was also privileged to spend a three month overseas trip to the UK and to Europe with Di during the summer of 1976. We went backpacking through the UK and Europe and stayed at many of Di's relatives who gave us a warm welcome, accommodation and wonderful sightseeing trips. We had a marvellous time and I have three full photo albums of that trip. Just wonderful memories. I went to live with you Martin, and Di, when you bought your house in Johannesburg North. You kindly rented a room to me and I was hugely comfortable living with you both for a few months. Such was our friendship - truly special, connected and comfortable. During our High School years I shall remember spending many wonderful and happy weekends at the Tacons with Di buried in her books together with her beloved dog Teasle on the bunk bed beside her. I wish you all strength as you come to terms with Diana's loss. Lorraine Tee (Menhard) and Sue Billett (Cook) also send their sincere condolences to all of you and over this passed weekend we spent time chatting about all the good times we spent with Diana when we were teenagers at high school together. With much love to you all. Marianne Christie
Dear Martin, Ryan and Hayley, It was such a shock to learn of Diana’s death. You will be shattered. We valued our years as your neighbours and Ryan’s friendship with our boys. We will always remember Diana as a warm, bright and lively friend. Our deepest condolences, Tim and Hilary Brewer
Mart, Ryan and Hayley What a beautiful service and tribute to Di. We treasure our memories of our get togethers in South Africa. Much fun and laughter. Unfortunately we never got to NZ. Wishing you all much love and peace. X
Dear Hayley, Martin and Ryan What a privilege to have known Diana, your mum. I’m so sorry for your loss. Thoughts, love and prayers are with you from Perth, WA xx
I have just watched Diana's lovely funeral on line as I am out of town. It was such a great tribute to a kind, generous and positive lady. You all did so well and summed up her very great qualities. I have known Diana through our book club. I think she has been in it since coming to New Plymouth and I the same. Book club just wont be the same without her. You meet many people in your life but only a few leave such a lasting impression. I will miss the fun and laughter that she generated. I am so sorry for your loss Martin, Ryan and Hayley
Dear Koorts Family Sending all our love and thoughts to you and your loved ones, from across the world. Her smile lit up every room, and we all feel so lucky to have experienced the joy Diana brought to the lives of all around her. She will continue to shine brightly in all of our hearts forever. All our love, Angela, Rachel, Georgia & Emily Xxx
Dear Hayley and family I'm so sorry about Diana's left... And so sorry to be so far away, I would love to be closer. I will always remember when we met in NZ, after so many years I finally got to know Hayley's parents. So thankful that we made it... So many memories, just beautiful and always in our hearts and memories. My whole family is happy to have known and shared with her in Spain. RIP. Te skio preciosita, love you, and hope we see and hug soon.
Martin, Ryan and Hayley Siblings: Robin and Lorna. I was saddened to hear of Diana’s death. She left a legacy of a kind spirit and a zest for life. I will never forget Di ‘s laugh, it was wonderful to hear. She laughed in a way that resonated throughout her whole being. Always a beautiful smile on her face. And this how I will always remember dearest , darling Di. Di will be greatly missed but not forgotten. Love and Best wishes to Koorts, Tacon and MacNeillie families. Claire Jones - UK
Dear Martin and Family, So sorry to hear of Dianas passing, my thoughts and deepest sympathy are with you all. Diana was a pleasure to have on our staff. Kind regards, John Law
Sending Martin, Ryan and Hayley all our love ❤️ Di you were the sweetest aunt, so thoughtful, ALWAYS happy and laughing and made everyone feel good. We love and will miss you always. May you Rest In Peace ❤️
To the lovely Martin, Hayley & Ryan. You Mum was just wonderful and I am hurting for the loss it has brought to your lives, far too soon. She loved you guys so very much. She was a great Mother & Wife. Diana was kind in nature, supportive, even reliable when you were short of baking goods and provided my family with the best company on Friday nights over drinks and chatter. Those are memories i'll never forget and always cherish. You can pick your dream house, but not your dream neighbor's. 22 years of living next door to you makes you my extended family by default, what a jackpot we got. We will always be here for your family and I hope you can find comfort in that. I wish I could be there with you Martin & Hayley today as you farewell your Mum; an amazing woman. Diana, I am so sorry your journey ended far too soon - It's just not fair. Rest easy with the Angels, Lots of Love Always, Emma xxx
So sad to hear of Diana's passing. WE all enjoyed her company so much. We had so many laughs together. My heartfelt thoughts go to the family, A lovely bright star has dimmed.
To Diana’s family I worked with Diana off and on over many years and always found Diana to be grounded, personable and utterly professional in the work that she did. Diana was always approachable and so easy to work with. I was saddened to hear she was unwell and sadder to hear she had passed away. You can be so proud of Diana knowing that there many like me who only knew Diana in a working capacity but held her in in the highest regard. Take care of each other during this sad time. Kindest Regards Jenny McLennan
Martin, Ryan and my Hayley, I’m so fortunate to have been able to meet aunty Diana through Hayley- she’s one of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever known. Her aura was contagious, so nice, so smiley, so caring. I’ll miss seeing her in our FaceTime calls but I know she’s in a happier place and will always be with you. Love always,
Dear Martin, Ryan and Hayley, So sad to hear about Diana passing away and the sorrow that you must be feeling. We will not be able to be there in person on Monday but are thinking of you and sending our love. Love Herora and Ian
Dear Martin and family, I was very shocked to hear about Diana’s passing in a brief, but very thoughtful speech by our President at our Wine Club AGM last night. Diana always had time to say hi and have a chat with me over the years and I appreciated that immensely. We will miss her smiling face but know that she will always be at wine club in spirit with a glass of Chardonnay.
Dear Koorts family, I am so very sad to hear of Diana’s passing. Diana was a trusted and loved member of the Harveys Real Estate family. Working alongside Diana was a pleasure and she taught me many things. Her laughter and sense of humour was contagious. My thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
Dear Martin, Hayley, and Ryan. Deeply saddened by Diana’s passing. She always brightened every room she entered, and was a positive influence on all those who she met. From her EMA days, working with her in the HR Team at the DHB, and being on the Human Resources NZ Committee, she was a trusted practitioner and great friend to myself and many others. I always remember her as a prodigious taker of notes in a meeting! 😊 She will be missed by many.
Dear Martin and family, you will not know me however I wanted to pass on my deepest sympathies to you after hearing of Diana's passing. I have known Diana for many years and she has been a great support to me in my role as HR Manager for Nexans NZ (formerly Olex) through her career. Diana was always happy to spend time chatting with me, advising and encouraging me. She always made me believe I could do it, I felt completed respected and valued by Diana. I will miss our lengthy chats and most importantly her support to our business. I feel very privileged to have known Diana, may she rest in peace xx
Martin, Ryan, Hayley and all the whanau ... we are greatly saddened to hear about Diana's failing health and recent passing. You are in our hearts and minds at this challenging time. While our paths have seldom crossed in recent years we remember the time we spent together in New Plymouth with great fondness. Two wonderful children, now all grown up, Martin always so ethical, caring and hard working, and Diana at the center of it all - focused on the family, generous, smart, good humoured, creative and loving. We are privileged to have had that time with you, and a delight to know Diana. She will be missed.
