To the Hanley Family – Our heartfelt condolences go to you at the loss of your lovely Irene. We know she will be sadly missed, but led a long life to be admired and remembered as a wonderful legacy. We knew her well, working at Mitre 10 Head Office, unflappably in charge of the accounts department all those years ago now. It was a different time then and working there was actually fun and very sociable, too. A group of the girls, including Irene have always kept in touch. As time went on, most have now passed, but live on as treasured memories in our minds. We made plans to visit Irene recently but sadly the visit had to be cancelled due to her ill health. So, unfortunately, we didn’t get to see her for what would have been the last time. Thank-you for live-streaming the funeral, we were unable to attend in person, but felt part of the ceremony and will cherish the memory. She was an amazing lady, Marilyn Holmes & Penny Walton

To Jim and Barb my thoughts are with you on the loss of your Mum. I remember her very well, she always welcomed me into their place when I went around there in my teen years! It would be great to catch up with a phone call when you are ready. My Mum and Dad passed away October last year within 4 days of each other so I know how it feels.
