CARRINGTON, Dorothy Alice: Of Feilding, On May 27, 2022 at Nelson Residential Care Centre, aged 87 years. Dearly loved wife of Don (deceased 2008), loving mother and mother-in-law of Janet and Nigel Doyle, Murray (deceased 2008) and Penny, loving grandmother of Robert and Alana; Nathan and Rosemary, Amanda, Melanie and Paul. Great Grandmother of Malachi. A service for Dorothy will be held at William Cotton & Sons Funeral Chapel, 29 Beattie Street, Feilding on Thursday June 2, 2022 at 11am, followed by interment at the Feilding Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Feilding Order of St John would be appreciated and may be left at the service. My mother Lorna Emms (nee Penberthy), who watched the livestream service as she is too frail to travel, offers her heartfelt sympathy to the family. She was friends with Dorothy for many years so her passing is a shock. Lorna feels she would like to catch up with Janet by phone or email at a later time. On behalf of my mother, Goodbye dear friend
My husband and I met Dorothy through her daughter Janet over cream horns and a cuppa at Vivs Kitchen which was one of her favorite outings with Janet. A lovely sweet soul with that very English presence. We admire Janets respect and care she gave to her often very demanding mother.
