Tributes

I have just watched your beautiful & touching service online Elisa. What an amazing woman you were! I never met you in person but online through our very special Metavivors Group. You did so much to improve the lives of others & were so supportive to all the woman who were on the same difficult journey. We shall miss your fighting spirit & wonderful sense of humour. Blessings to your family, wonderful husband & beautiful children. You have instilled in them great values to carry them forward in life. As we say in our Metavivors Group you have gained your wings Elisa & with the greatest of honours! RIP Elisa.

What a wonderful service for a wonderful lady. It was lovely listening to the tributes made by your friends and family. Thankyou for the support you and Leon gave to me at our ‘Cancer Fundamentals’ retreat in Melbourne. You both took me under your wing and for that I’m eternally grateful. Elisa was such a crackup, the first thing she said to me was “which one did you score?” just the icebreaker I needed. You made me laugh when I felt like crying, I’ll miss your smiling face.

Elisa, what a service and what a testament to the special person you are. You have prepared your whanau for greatness and left a legacy for so many others. Hearing the number of lives you touched (and I know there are so many more) I just feel like the world was so prematurely robbed of someone remarkable and special. Thank you for all you have done and thank you for being so authentically true to your values and integrity. Go well dear Elisa. Fiona 💜

Fortunately he reconnected again through Headway (Brain Injury Association Michael) that’s where I first met you Your advice and comforting words always welcomed with open arms for our Whanau you understood what my heart would try to convey about my relationship/marriage/family/kids the struggles being with Tamāpia who has a Brain Injury….you knew you got it I’ll never forget that your words echo always when times are tough Your Passion and fire to help and fight for the rights of others always placing others needs before your own You driving all the way out to meet me to donate to my Ministry for the homeless the selfless acts is the Aroha within you I’m glad I was able to share a cuppa, cake and korero with you in Mangere thank you for helping me and my Whanau thank you for speaking wisdom into Tamāpia’s heart and mind when he was uncertain thank you for who you are and will always be We will always miss and love you Elisa Arohanui Christine Tamāpia and Whanau

Elisa thanks so much for being such a caring soul with a great sense of humour . You personally provided me with so much support during a difficult time in my life and I will never forget this. I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside you and learning so much from your expertise as a clinical psychologist. Loved house sitting and looking after your beautiful dogs over the years . Rest in peace xxx
