Rest In Peace Joy. A genuinely lovey lady who I have very fond memories of. May you now rest well with Nigel. Sending my love, thoughts and prayers to all the McLeod family and may all the happy memories you have of your mum fill your hearts with the love you always felt around her. A gentle lady now at rest. Colleen Starsmore (Landers).
What a fitting tribute to a wonderful lady. I enjoyed listening to the speakers and having my own fond memories of time with the McLeod whanau bubble to the surface. The welcome, the warmth, the family values and the adventures. I would have loved to join you all to hear more of the stories. Sending love to you all. Diane Hobday xx
Aunty Joy was one of my favourite people in the whole world. I loved her and Uncle Nigel. They were always so welcoming. They always made a point of including me as part of their family, especially after my marriage to Alister Hobday ended. They came to see me at my Hamilton home when visiting family in Raglan on may occasions, and they made sure I was kept aware of family news. No one can take away the memories. I would have loved to visit Joy in later years, but was not in a position to do so, but I could send her love and light. My love and sympathy to the extended Macleod family. Lyndell
What a beautiful tribute. Aunty Joy had a special light and warmth about her and was the strong force that kept Riki and I bonded to our family in in New Zealand.. she and Uncle Nigel visited me in High School in Arizona. In college in Wisconsin,, at my first job in Los Angeles (climbing up to my loft to sleep) and cam to my weddings and to meet Morgan.. I stayed with them at the farm when I came to NZ and traveled North and South Islands in one of the beloved Citroens. Oh the games of 500, the afternoon teas, all the love and hugs and warm hands to hold mine through the good times and bad. I love you. And I am so happy that you and Nigel are together again.
Thank you for being my Aunty. Your grace, humour, kindness and devotion to your husband and family are unmatched. Rest in the arms of your one and only, Uncle Nigel , who has been patiently waiting for you. Give Big Hugs to Mum please. We will miss you just like we miss her.💕❤️💕
