To the Fleming family We are sorry to hear of Laurence's passing. Part of the Fleming clan from Rahotu/Pungarehu - there aren't many left there now! There were not too many photos of your Dad without a horse, he got a lot of enjoyment out of them. And he would have worked hard for all his successes. Thinking of you at this sad time and sorry we could not make it to the funeral today. Trish and mark

To Te Fleming family I’ve always remembered a great holiday I had in Rahutu many years ago. Laurence and Avis used to bring their horses up to the Waikato and often stayed with my Dad (Jack Davies) Riccadonna was one I recall and the heliotrope colours. Great memories flying into the old NP airport and being met by Avis, the drive around the coast, attending Mass( in Latin) and then the Taranaki circuit. We lost touch many years later when Dad suffered ill health and gave up his horses but my first holiday in NP has never been forgotten May many memories be shared with laughter n tears as you prepare to farewell Laurence

To the Fleming Family, On behalf of Mum, Joyce Waswo and my late Father Peter, I pass on our sympathies to you all. Our family connection goes back many years to our days i Rahotu. I particularly remember the happy times we all shared when Laurence brought trotters to Tauranga to race. The fun of race day and the picnics and swims at Mount Maunganui are fond memories. Laurence's infectious laugh and grin will be with us always. Our love to you all.
