Tributes

I'm so grateful to have been able to participate in Tess's funeral, even virtually. She was a kind, generous, faithful woman. I so appreciated her practical down-to-earth nature, and her total lack of airs and graces. Some of my earliest memories at Atawhai Community Church at Wakapuaka Hall, are of Tess bringing in Shelley to join in our service. I always felt Tess's love and commitment to Shelley was a wonderful example of God's love for us. Much love to all her family as you remember, grieve and give thanks together.

A wonderful friend of the J. R. Eyles Family. We enjoyed many trips out to Cable Bay to the archeology site and a highlight was catching up with the Stuart Family and sharing meals and having some wonderful adventures. Tess particularly is remembered with fondness.

Tess was an amazing lady. I first met her in the early 1970's when I came to stay in Cable Bay. There was to be many more stays in the Bay to follow over the years. I brought my now wife to meet her and she loved her to. Her warmth, klindness, and generosity made us feel very included. We went to see her last November at the Wood, and her face lit up when we came in the door. We had a great visit. Libby and I will miss her very much. We are sad that we could not come, due to a Covid 19 infection. Rest in peace Tess.
