Bill, you been there for 100s of muscians to lend an eye, for many years. I first met you back in the early 60s and you have been a mentor for our journey that you helped start. We have been on the otherside of the world for many years, but this didn't stop our chats and link ups that I will dearly miss. Thoughts are with your family and many friends. RIP Big Bill. Much Aroha David and Makuini
Bill, you are a big loss to your colleagues and associates in the appliance and consumer electronics industry and it was always a real pleasure to be in your company. In my retirement, I had a heap of fun bringing your yarn to thw pages of Wares Magazine. RIP old buddy. http://www.wares.co.nz/categories/where-are-they-now/2016/july/29/bill-belton/
May you rest in peace Billy. Many Blessings to you Janet. Colin McLeod
I feel so privileged & honoured to have met Billy - we crossed paths over the past 60 odd years - I found him to be such a kind gentle laid back soul & mate - I’ll miss him RIP Bill
I met Billy when he worked at Sydney Eady when I worked at Jansen. 1965. He was a gentleman then and Gay and I was privileged to know him and dear Janet. As Gay always said Billy is a GENTLE - MAN. Bill and I had great times together, I had respect for him when we were both in the HIFI business. His passion and interest in music was second to none. Billy made many friends and a string of international music stars. Everyone loved Bill. I seriously miss our coffee afternoons in Auckland and our crazy Jam sessions with Gib Williamson. Janet, Gay and I are so sad, this great man went well before his time. All our love to you and the entire family. Steve and Gay xxxxxxx
My sweet uncle Billy, To know you was to love you! It breaks my heart that my husband won’t get to experience for himself the joy to be greeted by your kind, contagious smile, or enjoy one of your sweet hugs, or listen to one of your million amazing stories. But I feel equally privileged and blessed to have experienced all of the above myself. Thank you for the love, light, and joy you brought to the Christie family, and more importantly, to Janet’s every day. I will carry your kindness and love of life with me always. Rest in power my beautiful uncle, knowing you lived life as it was meant to be lived.
A beautiful soul , love to all the family ❤❤⚘⚘

Farewell Billy my beloved friend. You were a rare and precious gem. A Prince among men Arohanui. Ian Saxon
My dear friend Billy. I was only 14 years old when I joined "Hawke Sea Scouts" and you were Troop Leader. I was naive to many things of course but through your friendship I became very informed of the ways of the ocean and sailing and then one night we as a scout troop and our parents were invited to a scout talent night. You came out with a home made wooden electric guitar, open amplifier with valves and a square piece of wood with a speaker screwed into it. Then you played Link Wrays' "The Rumble". That was it. I bought your guitar and amp with 5 pounds I borrowed from dad and you set me on my career. The rest for me is history, with tours across Europe, including a band that split, Gary Thain who joined Uriah Heep. Peter Dawkins who became a record producer and me. I have had a magic life because you Billy were the catalyst. A warm hearted, real good guy. You will be so missed by myself and all your friends. God bless you Billy and heartfelt condolences to Janet. Love Paul.
In the course of a lifetime you meet many people. Billy was a gentle giant, that left a lasting impression. One of the nicest people I have ever met. Our prayers and sympathy to Janet and the family. Arohanui, Barry and Chrissy Ward
