I have so much gratitude to have shared time with my beloved Gran. She was kind, strict, funny and was a best friend of mine for my entire life. I learned so much from her. She was so skilful with her sewing and handcrafts, and I absolutely treasure a quilt she made for me when almost blind, that sits on my sofa today. Gran was an incredible cook and baker: her Christmas cakes and puddings were legendary, as was her louise cake. I have the recipe but can't make it like she did. She kept the tidiest house I have ever known, a garden that bloomed with all sorts of beautiful flowers, and did it all whilst being impeccably dressed with a fresh perm! She was always interested in my adventures and asked incredible questions that showed how very smart she was. She was a fabulous listener. She raised five wonderful kids, and thrived, surrounded by a large family for 40 years following the passing of her most beloved Husband. She was adored by my husband Minh, and my boys Tai and Kien. She was really proud to be a great grandma. We all treasure her memory and are grateful she is now fully at peace. Til we meet again Gran! I love you so, so much. Love, Nicola
