CAMPBELL, John Alexander (Alastair) 27th December 1927 – 8th July 2022. Passed away peacefully at Summerset in the Sun, Stoke. Loving husband of the late Rose, loved father and father-in-law of Lorraine and Bruce, Des and Margaret, Christine, Raewyn and Timothy, Cath, Margy and Aug. Much loved Grandad and Great-Grandad, loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

A private cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Alastair will be held at Shone and Shirley Chapel, 164 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson at 10 am, Friday 22 July 2022. For those unable to attend the service it will be livestreamed and available at shoneandshirley.com/tributes where you can also leave a message. Condolences to the whole family from the Campbells in the Highlands of Scotland. What a lovely service and tribute to Alastair, with the Scottish connection shining through. We never had the opportunity to meet "The Gaffer", but feel as if we knew him through the photos and discussions we've had on-line and indeed in person with Chris, Des and Margaret. The benefits of modern technology should never be underestimated, giving distant relative the opportunity in sharing such a lovely service. Many Thanks
