Some great memories when my Mum, Bert and I visited for 8 weeks, visiting many beautiful places. One of my best memories were watching Dolly making ‘pippi fritters’ after digging for them on the beach. My sister Dolly lived for her family and was very proud of them. Her and her husband John were definitely soulmates, I always remember playing cards with them whilst they enjoyed a glass of Jim Beam. Rest in peace Dolly Reunited with John Carole, Brian and Family
Dolly lived for her family and John she will be sadly missed by all of us rest in peace and god bless dolly
I will carry very fond memories of John and Dolly forever. They were a big part of my life and brought joy every time we met.
Auntie Dolly will be sadly missed by all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as the family she and John left all those years ago in Liverpool. She may have left for great adventures and a better life for her family, but she was never forgotten by us back home and as a child I noticed she was always referred to very highly by all her sisters and brothers back home. She took her scouse grit and determination to the other side of the world but still had strong connections with her family here. Growing up she and John were inspirational to me personally, when my mum Louisa would tell me proudly about her sister on the other side of the world and what she had done. Dolly was there for me and my family too when we first moved to New Zealand 20yrs ago to also try the adventure. She looked after us and encouraged us to see the wonders of the country and helped us meet the locals in their motorhome! She has led a full life and leaves a very loving family that she and John created. That love was very easy to see when we were in their company. An inspiration to us all. Safe Journeys Dolly With love Stephen, Caroline, Sam & Abi Stamford UK
Very sorry to hear about the passing of Dorothy. Sadly i will still be in the UK at the time of the funeral, otherwise I would have been at the service to pay my respects in person. I think i managed to give her a few laughs on our weekly meetings. She did tell me my jokes were rubbish, but i did get the odd chuckle. Lots of love to the whole clan. She was a great lady . Dolly a much loved aunty who made us so welcome when we visited New Zealand. My mum Jean, Andy and I had the most amazing time away in Dolly & John's caravan. Dolly and the family also looked after Jess our daughter when she visited during her Gap Year. It was also lovely when they visited us in Hong Kong and Lisbon - they were always up for exploring and enjoying themselves. A loving aunty who was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rest in peace Dolly, Uncle John will be happy to have his soulmate back. Jeanette xx
I rember aunty' Dolly taking us girls over the The Isle of Man fun couple of days. And we did manage to catch up at Karl's wedding. Good night & god bless
We lovingly listened to John Dolly Teddy and Marie reminisce about their motor home road trip round New Zealand. It was always a pleasure to catch up with Uncle John and Auntie Dolly on their trips home and catch up on all the family news. Your back in Johns arms now, Rest in Peace. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with you all at this sad time. Much love from us all
Dolly was a strong and inspirational lady, who left England for Nee Zealand in search of a better life for her children. She was a hard working and honest person who spoke openly. She lived for her family and was so proud of them all. God bless you Dolly
I love you so much grandma. I’m going to miss our weekly outings that always ended in a trip to the bakery for a fresh cream donut or McDonald’s for your fish burger and strawberry shake. I hope you and grandad are having drinks and enjoying each other’s company again. You were the best grandma I could ever ask for xx

The Prescott matriarch, Dorothy was a loving, supporting, cheerleading lynch pin of the family. Always straight shooting, she said what she meant and meant what she said. Back with John, love of her life. Rest well Mrs P xx
I have heard so many tales about your younger years Dolly from my husband, your brother Ronnie. We weren’t lucky enough to visit New Zealand once you’d emigrated but we managed to catch up each time you visited the UK & we had some lovely meals with you & John. You have led a good life and we know that you will be sorely missed by all your lovely family. Sleep tight Dolly, god bless xx
