Safe journey to your forever home beautiful, caring, and loving Betty reunited with everyone who loved you. Thank Lynn and family for sharing your lovely mum/ grandma with us, we will miss you so much. RIP in peace until we meet again Betty. All our love Pam and John xx
Such a sad moment to hear of the passing of Betty who was like a second mum to me as she stepped into my dads life after mum passed, and filled that space with lots of laughter, joyful trips away, social outings and the simplicity of companionship in their maturing years. Russell (my dad) loved Betty and was so very happy and content to have her in his life to share their special years together and I am forever grateful to Betty for bringing that joy and support. To Betty's family I would like to say thank you for lending her to me too and for welcoming dad into your lives with such genuine love and respect. Unfortunately I am unable to get to NZ for the funeral but I will be there in spirit with dad in my heart for Betty, and attend via live streaming. xxxx
My sincere condolences to Lynn and family. I was very sad to learn of Betty's passing. A stalwart and kind friend to Wallace and I during our 12 year tenure in Nelson.. Always constant in her care and concern for others and her family. It waa a delight and privilege having known Betty. How you will miss her. Kind regards, Fay.
My deepest sympathy to you all. Betty was a very dear friend to my mum and dad ( Pam and John) and will be sorely missed x
I will always have fond memories of my dear Aunty Betty. Living in Vanguard St for 68 years with Uncle Jack until his passing in 2001. Betty volunteered many an hour at the Nelson Hospital shop for 31 years and knitted the most amazing toys which she displayed in her windows & was recognised by the media passing. I have no doubt that Betty's faith kept her grounded in times of adversity and loneliness. Having lost her son Kevin to an accident back in 1970 she sure was such an inspiration and beautiful soul that never judged and always listened. One of a kind. She will be sorely missed and having phoned her on a regular basis in the past 5 years I will really miss our chats & her advice. To my cousin Lynne & family, you are in our thoughts today & always. You were so privileged to have such a beautiful mum and we will all miss her so much. Our sincerest condolences to you. Always know we are all here to support you. I hope Aunty Betty was greeted by her family up in Heaven & looking over us now & forever. RIP Aunty - you were such a special lady. Love you xx Love Di (your niece)
