Janet and David are our New Zealand family, and were regarded as aunt and uncle by our kids. We loved visiting and sharing holidays with them, occasions that are remembered as full of laughter. Janet, you were the sister I never had, a wonderful friend and confidante. I could rely on you to bring humour and a sensible perspective to any problem. I will miss you dearly. Jean x

Aunty Janet, Words cannot express how sad I am that you have left us. Even though we lived so far apart, the time that I did get to spend with you and uncle David brings back so many happy memories. At Nana and Grandad Carr’s house when we were little, at Mum and Dad’s, in Scotland and even when we all got stuck in a lift at the airport one time when you were heading back to New Zealand.
