Tributes

We, Maureen's siblings, Keith in Christchurch and Ngaire in Gisborne, acknowledge Don as the special person he was in our family, "The Gentle Giant", who married our sister. In our Family, Don was the very quiet one who: before he married Maureen seemed to materialize in our living room. We didn't hear him come in through two closed doors. Our Dad called him, "The Silent Knight". Don's strong work ethic and support of Maureen and his family resonated well with us both. We fondly remember family holidays with Don, especially the one in Taupo when all three families were together and on many other occasions as well. Thank you Maureen for giving us a lovely brother-in-law. Our love to you, Darren and Gina, Colin and Jodi, Karen and Daniel and your families as you farewell your great dad and grandad. God bless you all!

Dearest Maureen, Darren, Karen, Col and families. My most sincerest, heartfelt sympathies & condolences go out to you all! I can not imagine what you're all going thru right now. "Donasaur" (as I called him respectfully) was truly a great man, a gentleman, a strong, hardworker with a cheeky sparkle in his eye. Seeing him always bought a smile to my face. 💛 He will be sorely missed by all. Rest in Heavenly Peace Don You will be forever loved & never forgotten ❤
