Tributes

Heartfelt condolences. We will miss our Friday pub visits. We were honored to have known Gordon and we shared many social occasions with him.

Cal and Dianne Moon

We first met Gordon 50 years ago while he was building a beach house at Whangapoua. This led to a long friendship involving many very social events bbq,s fishing and hunting trips. Gordon was a very competitive and successful fisherman ,loved the bush and was an accomplished deerstalker. As a tradesman Gordon was a true Craftsman. Incredibly skilful at whatever tasks he was undertaking. He really was a perfectionist be it his engineering work ,building or any of his many hobbies. Gordon will be missed by all at Mulcahy where he was highly regarded & respected by his colleagues with his skills and only the best will do attitude. Our thoughts are with Joanne , Glenice and family. Murray Mulcahy and family

Gordon was a man of integrity and charm who had a great love of nature and its bounty. A talented, innovative craftsman, he was a blessing to us less capable apprentices, often providing advice and even overseeing the remedy to many practical problems if he suspected the end product would not be finished to his high standards. The gossip, conversations and debates were many and varied, often accompanied by great lashings of humour, food, coffee or something stronger. We will miss our wonderful friend of many years with whom we shared and celebrated many special moments. John, Sharon and family
