Alex passed away peacefully at home in the presence of family on 5th August 2022. Beloved husband of Margaret (Maggie). Devoted father of Kelly, Adam and Sophie and father-in-law to Cecilia and Damian. Much loved Gramps/Abuelo to Milla, Shay, Bronte, Capri, Isabella, Francisco and Benicio and brother to Nick, Victor and Nina . A service to celebrate Alex's life will be held on Tuesday 16 August at 10.30am at The North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany. Followed by a private Cremation. A live stream of Alex's service will be available at www.dils.co.nz/s/alex Tributes to Alex can be made at the same place.

Dearest Alex, So sorry to learn you won’t be there when we return from our USA trip. you have been the most wonderful neighbor, friend and trifle connoisseur! We enjoyed many conversations over the neighborhood ,travels and various ‘projects’ for which required specific tools, some of which we had others needed to be sourced,one way or the other! And you never ending wood donations! You remain a very special friend, movie critic, and food groupie! all of which will be greatly missed. Thanks for being You.
