Loved daughter of Haki “Jack” Wana & Merepohoi (Nee Ratahi)
Loved wife of John Kaiwhata (deceased) and Te Tuhi Mate (deceased)
Beloved mum of Virgil, Analisa, David, Lucille and Dominick
Gwen will be greatly missed by all her Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren.
Gwen will be lying in state at Gateway Funeral Services Whakatāne until her service
Service will be held on Saturday 13th August, 11am at Gateway Funeral Services, 17 Awatapu Drive, Whakatane
Gwen will be laid to rest at Taiwhakaea Urupa 1pm

When I think of Gwen, I think of grace. How she carried and dressed herself so elegantly. How she always made me feel loved when we conversed. How easily she understood and how easily we giggled together. May all her loved ones be there to greet her when she hears Jesus' voice say, "Gwen, wake up," then suddenly you'll be there fully embraced in Jehovah's perfect paradise promise. Much happy love to the whanau and to you my Sister Virgil.
