Tributes

Oh dear Adrian Your parting has been cruelly sudden and we are floundering. There is too much to say... You have been a very special person and you will be greatly missed. You would remember your visit to be with us here in Wimbledon all those years ago. We want to leave a poem for you - a special favourite of ours. It goes with our best love... Do not stand by my grave and weep - I am not there. I do not sleep - I am the thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints in snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. As you awake with morning's hush I am the swift up-flinging rush of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the day transcending night. Do not stand by my grave and cry - I am not there I did not die. To Adrian, Our dear nephew. We will miss you very much indeed. We remember you when we came to New Zealand on our honeymoon and you had a fun, happy 8th birthday party. You grew up to be a fun, happy man and we’ve had good times with you both when you have visited the UK and, more recently when we came to NZ a few years ago. Huge love to you Adrian from us both. To my funny, crazy, quirky, loving baby brother. You impacted everyone you met, you brought fun and laughter and your ridiculous sense of humour into our lives and we will be forever bereft. Fly high my Hurpy Burpy Tardy Crackle, with all my love The Hen. xxx
