Born 15 March 1930 in Canton China.
Settled in Rotorua in 1963 where he resided for 59 years.
George passed peacefully in Whakatane Hospital after a brief illness on the 15 August 2022, aged 92 years.
Much loved father of Gavin and father-in-law to Kirsty.
Proud grandfather of Sophia.
A private service and burial was held on the 17th of August at Kauae Cemetery, Rotorua.
George will be best known in the community for the Milama Restaurant and Orient takeaways in Rotorua.
A keen sportsman who loved hunting, fishing and golf.
Happiest watching his racehorses, clay shooting, duck hunting, chasing pheasants and then sharing the tales of success.
Happiest of all watching his granddaughter.

New George from day's back in Kuku. Kept in touch over years,as he drove my wedding car. Debbie worked in Levin when she firsdt II have known George since day"s back in Kuku. He drove my wedding car. We always kept in touch. As matter a fact we alway"s rang each other Xmas day.Remember when Debbie came out here, she could not speak english. She worked in factories in Levin. Always rember you George.
It is with great sadness that we have heard of the passing of a longtime friend George a gentleman who along with the late Debbie always made us feel welcome and could not be faulted for their hospitality George will always be in our thoughts especially our wedding day as George and his pride and joy a pale blue Ford Zodiac drove the bridesmaids to the church 64years ago.Rest in peace dear friend.
