Hi Bev very sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. May you be comforted and strengthened through this time. Eddie was always friendly, jovial and talkative when we saw him. He will be greatly missed.
To Bev and family, so sorry to hear about Eddie and our heartfelt sympathy goes to you all. He was a fantastic bloke and Allan has many memories of him and his involvement with Lions and Bowls at Opunake, and the beers. He was great company and always interested in what was going on. As we couldn't be there we were pleased we were able to join you on the live steaming. Hugs.
So sorry to hear of Edwards passing. My deepest sympathy to all his family. Joy Savage.
Dear Bev, thinking of you and your family at this sad time. My deepest condolences to you all. Anne Sharp
Bev and Family very sad to hear of Eddie's passing. As a long time neighbor in both the Ihaia and Waiteika Road it was always a pleasure to meet and greet with him, a genuine person with an optimistic outlook on life. Thoughts are with you and the family and especially Grant who I know will miss Eddies presence on the farm. Apologies, can't make the service but will appreciate the on line streaming, Best Wishes Graham
We are thinking of you Bev and all your family through this sad and difficult time. We shall never forget Ed's wonderful welcome smile each time we got together and his inspection of the shed each time.
We're so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. He was such a fit and energetic man. So pleased we got to know him. Much love to Bev and family xx
Our family had a wonderful teaching exchange in Opunake in 1990 when we swapped our beachside lives in Coffs Harbour, NSW for rural Taranaki. Bev and Eddie were a beautiful family who made us feel very welcome and included in the community. We have great memories of the hat party at your home, and recall that it degenerated into a hilarious "hat stomping" party! We were very privileged to host you both at our home in Coffs Harbour when you visited us in subsequent years. Eddie was a true gentleman. We are so sorry to hear of his loss and are sending huge hugs to Bev and family from across the ditch.
So sorry to read of Eddie’s passing. He was so fit and active all the years we have known him we thought he would go on for ever. We have been reminiscing of all our fun times in Opunake and even in the maternity home waiting for Vanessa to be born!. it is at times like this we realise our far away we are from all our old and dear friends. Know that we will be with you all tomorrow as we join for the online service. God Bless you all, Love Anne and Ian.
To Bev and family. Sorry to hear the sad news of Eddie's passing. Alot of fond memories in Opunake. Adrienne Young (nee Otene)
Such a sad time for you all but I’m sure that you all have some wonderful memories of cousin Eddie. Grandfathers are allowed to be chief lolly distributors- that’s their role! My thoughts are with you Bev.
To Bev and Family, Thinking of you all at this very sad time. May all your happy memories of your loved one, help bring you peace and comfort through the days ahead. Kindest regards, Jean and Barry Webb. (Nee Webb )
Dear Bev and Family. So sorry to hear that Edward has passed. The best friend and neighbour we had when our family started farming on Ihaia Road Opunake. Sorry I am unable to farewell Edward on Tuesday. Love to all. Alan.
Dear Bev and family, very sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Such an awesome man, lots of great memories especially our Opunake days and then New Plymouth times and special friendship given to Dad Ivan - the wee tipple & mischevious ventures. Thoughts and condolences to you all.
Dear Bev and family, we were so sorry to hear of Edward's passing. We have such happy memories of our PNTC "Happy Ten" reunions. We appreciated that you and Edward called on Brian while he was in hospital too, and felt that Edward and Brian had something in common, being farmers. With our love and hugs Bev, Rosalie and Brian.
To Bev and family, I am so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I remember fondly many card nights and get togethers when we taught and lived in Opunake. Aroha, Viv Norris
