After a century of life, passed peacefully on Friday 16 September 2022. Beloved wife of the late Andy Thompson. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Heather and Charlie, Dan and Tamzin, Andy and Annemarie, Lance and Fiona, Nansi and Riccardo. Dearly loved grandmother and great-grandmother.
So much to so many.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held at All Saint's Chapel, Purewa Cemetery and Crematorium, 100 St John's Road Meadowbank, on Wednesday 21 September at 10.00am.

Every girl needs good women in her life. My Mum Rosemary Mutch (née Williams) became friends with the wonderful Heather in the third form, and so also came into the orbit of Jean and Pop. Thank you Jean for being a true friend to my family, and especially to my Mum. (As I recall, the age difference didn’t stop you two being like a couple of naughty girls when you took the big trip to Sydney to visit Heather together!) What a blessing for our family and me - to not only have Heather as my dear Auntie, and Angela as a friend, but also for Jean to have been part of our lives growing up. Arohanui, Lisa.
We will miss our Special Lady but we have some wonderful memories. It has been a pleasure knowing you, Who is going to keep the chef on his toes now!! God Bless x Lots of Love from all the team at Greenwich Gardens Care Home xx
