Dear Ann and family, It was with great sadness that we heard about the recent passing of Howard. We enjoyed many social occasions, dinners, and a close friendship at Thames during our time together there. We were also colleagues on the staff at Thames High School where Howard and I coached the football teams. We also played for the Thames Football Club in the same team, thoroughly enjoying our games and the team cameraderie. They were great times. Although we have both moved on to live in different places in New Zealand, we retain fond memories of our times together, We will remember Howard as a thorough gentleman, and a trusted and totally reliable friend. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew him and our sincere condolences to Ann and all the Maskell family members. Dave and Alana Cantley
