HEDLEY, Malcolm Franklin:
Peacefully on Wednesday, 19 October 2022 with his family by his side. Aged 90. Dearly loved husband of the late Shirley. Loving father and father-in-law of Sheryl (Hale), and Warren & Gaye. Cherished grandfather of Kylie & Paora, Shane, Scott & Kendell, and Aaron. Step-grandad of Tania & Alex and their family. Great grandad of Te Aaio, Tiakitai, Brooklyn, and Miley. Son of the late Ernest and May. Brother of Betty & Mac Ward (both dec), Ronney (dec) & Joy, Shirley Kemp, and Cushla & Linton Watson.

A service to celebrate Malcolm’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Wednesday 26 October 2022 at 10:30am followed by his burial in Awanui Cemetery.

To Malcolm, we farewell and pay our deep respects. Hedley's a family long remembered in the Harbour street community. Like dad Ernie picking up wood from our demolished home Moturoa street mid 50s. Then Ernie at our dad's 1993 tangi expressing wharfie solidarity. We all had links that bonded us and this passing rekindles it all. Haere ki te po.
