Down the steep driveway on Hadfield Street with views to Island Bay we were neighbours to Tom and Carole and Nick for 40 or so years. Growing up with Nick, I spent a lot of time at the Wilsons house. If Tom was not overseas for work, he was usually at home keeping us fed, watered, entertained and mostly out of trouble.
