Toddy we will miss your friendship, good humour and humble approach to life. You were a huge part of our family and were adored by all of your grandchildren and great grandchildren. Your companionship with Marie for over 35 years was an inspiration, you were willing to do anything for the people she cared about. You came into our lives and encouraged us to have a good laugh in good times and bad.You will always be one our most favourite persons. Ces and Sandra Hill

Dear Toddy. Your visits were short and sweet but always a true gentleman. We have enjoyed your visits over the last 6 years in at Fitzroy TAB and for a few of us the last 30 years at New Plymouth Raceway. A dedicated and avid punter, loyal to the horses to the very end. You will be greatly missed. Mikaela, Karen, Lance & Marie.

So honoured we were there when John quietly slipped away, he was an amazing Grandad and Great Grandad. Loved our Mum to the very end and beyond. Thank you for collecting Brooke from Fitzroy school everyday then getting her home to Marie before making it back to Sportys by 4.15.
John Todd. So sad to hear of his passing. My step dad through ages 12 - 22. We clashed, we battled we loved as a family, we sorted it out and he helped me succeed the tough years and get over the line. Too much time listening to horse racing while I wanted to listen to music caused a bit of angst. But he stayed true to the horses. A great mechanic, good boxer back in the day, and a good man. I saw him on my last trip hm from Oz but didn’t know it was to be the last time. Fond memories. Respect and condolences to rest of family. RIP Toddy.❤️❤️❤️
