Dear Ted, You have left us and it has been so long since I last saw you but you certainly were never forgotten. Especially on Valentines Day, your birthday. We were flat mates for awhile and always good friends. I was fortunate that Chrissy became part of my life when we moved to Auckland. I am quite lucky that happened since Chrissy always remembers me kicking her under the table when we took her out to dinner when she was visiting you! I can’t remember why.. funny now though. Two other little things I remember well! One was your story about when you wanted visitors to leave in the evening you would get the vaccy out and start on the floors. The other story so much further back in your life! I have told many people. You drove down country lanes on your motor bike as a young lad to pick up a young lady to go on a date.. you said she hopped on the back, you revved up and took off.. yelling conversation back to her as you zoomed along. When you stopped you realised that she wasn’t on the back ! As you took off at her home you flung her off the back! very funny. Ted, I pay tribute to you now, you are free to ride that old bike and I feel you had a life well lived. RIP x
