SAUNDERS, John David. Born February 3rd, 1934. Passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on the 16th September 2021 at Bruce McLaren Retirement Village in Auckland aged 87. Much loved husband of Ruth (deceased), Father and Father-in-law of David and Sharon, Paul and Jodie, Stephen and Julie and dearly loved Grandfather to Crista, Asher, Jenele, Levi, Samara and Dana. Born in Birkenhead, (UK) a committed Christian, John spent 25 years as a Missionary with NZ CMS to Krishna Godavari Diocese in India. A calling he remained passionately committed to for the rest of his life. Forever in our hearts, he will be dearly missed. Funeral service will be held under Level 3 conditions with a memorial service to celebrate John's life to be held at a later date once restrictions allow. "For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus sake." (2 Corinthians 4: 5)
