EDWARDS, Shirley Elizabeth. Passed away peacefully after a short illness on 24 October 2022after recently celebrating her 90th birthday. She spent the past year missing her late husband Laurie after 67 years of marriage. They were great role models as partners on and off the field. We are so proud of everything they achieved in their action-packed lives. Shirley was a cherished wife, mother, mother-in-law, granny and great-granny to: The late Laurie; Den, Sam, Tessa, Dean, Sterling, Carson and the late Rex; to Margot, Dave, Tony, Sarah, Grant, Eva, Mikey, Kim and Isla; to Olwen, Andrew and Matthew; to Gilly, Dave, Lucy, Molly and the late Ella. Shirley, our brave, determined, intelligent mother, will be forever remembered for her can do attitude, keen sense of humour, musical talents, sporting prowess, teaching career, incredible talents with handcrafts, in particular her dress making and patchwork. Wherever Shirley lived, she served her communities with pride either as a netball or croquet coach, umpire or volunteering for St Johns.
