Brian, was a young minister and was a visitor to our farm in Tikorangi. Graeme and I lived in the villa when we were first married at 1469 Otaraoa Road . At least thirty years ago. We are grateful he came and met us . He loved the bush walks and we had around two hundred acres of the natural environment he could discover. Resting In peace you will be remembered always.

Bri, I'll always remember us bunking off to drive to the beach and have an ice cream cos the air con was above Union regulations when we worked at CYPS!!! You named my son and I told you I wanted you to speak for me if I died before you. You taught me tonnes about theology and questioning. You played the piano while my dad played the piano accordian alongside you.You meant so much to me. I am SO SAD I will never see you again. You were a truly inspirational, fun -loving, challenging the world (rightly!) person and I am so thankful to have had you and Sandra in my life. Steph

Dearest Sandra and lovely cuzzies Although it was expected, it was still a shock to hear Brian had gone. Our thoughts have been about him and all of you. We are heartbroken that we won’t be able to be with you for the funeral, but we are planning on spending time with you early in 2023. One thing is for sure; Brian will never be forgotten. Every time I eat kiwifruit or a tamarillo, I will think of Brian. I obviously have such fond and grateful memories of your kindness to me, when I was growing up. You were both so supportive of me, and I (and later Andy) always looked forward to visits to the Naki. Memories and the whanua remain and, through those, Brian lives on. As the saying goes, so sad the good ones get taken so early. We will be watching the live stream service from London. Love Deborah Weston & Andy

I was very sad to hear of Brian's passing and on behalf of NZPGA and myself wish to convey that our thoughts are with you Sandra and your family at this very sad time of loss. I recall meeting you both at our Field Day in 2020 and have enjoyed hearing about your orchard and growing experiences since. As a group we have appreciated your's and Brian's wisdom on growing practices, your keen participation and how willingly Brian and you shared knowledge with the group. We will miss this and you both. Regards Christine Herbert, Secretary.

Our very warmest condolences to you Sandra, Suzanne, Caroline and Alison and your families. It was such a blessing that 3 weeks ago we were able to travel to New Plymouth and see Brian, hug him tightly and say our goodbyes. Truly, what an honour. We will be watching the livestream service and although, not there in person, we will be with you in spirit. I know it will be a beautiful service of celebration for the life of lovely, lovely Brian. As you gather with family and friends there will be tears but also lots of warm, happy laughing as you share together all your wonderful memories. May you be surrounded by the love of God.

My sincere condolences to you Sandra and your family for your loss. Brian was a big part of my life in his early days at Knox and in the lives of our 4 daughters .Doug and Brian had many conversations about horticulture. I was very grateful when Brian agreed to take Doug's funeral service 14 years ago .I will be watching this one on-line.
