Thank you, Aunty Isabel, for being such a part of so many wonderful childhood memories spent at Douglas hoping desperately that we might get a chance to go out on the pond, feasting on picnics and Christmas lunches surrounded by cousins and aunties and uncles and, of course, Grandpop and Nana quietly and gently at the helm. Your beautiful smile, grace and elegance will remain ever present in my memory, along with your energy and vitality whether it was climbing mountains or wrangling children as your nieces and nephews descended on your house for another family celebration. Thank you for these treasured memories I delight in sharing now with my own children. To Nicki, Pip and Rod and all your families, I am so sorry for your loss and I send my love, thoughts and prayers to you from across the miles in Edinburgh.

My condolences to the family, Isabel was a proud and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Personally I have many happy memories with this gracious, insightful and resilient friend as together we whiled away many happy hours exploring the back country and putting the world right. The camp fire is lit, Isabel you can take your boots off now. It's been a wonderful journey.

Deepest Sympathy to Nikki, Pip, Rod and Families Isabel was my friend from Day One at Sunday School, through Primary School & High School. She was one of a special group of six friends - Judy, Marjorie, Joan, Vivienne & myself - who did everything together. As the years passed & we went our separate ways Isabel & David kept in touch every Christmas & I shall remember some special times spent on the farm at Douglas. As Mayoress of Stratford not only did she support David but she contributed to the welfare of Stratford in her own special way and will be remembered for this. Farewell dear friend. May you join the "Love of your Life" and soar together with the angels. Wendy
