COCKFIELD, Isabella Lawrie (nee Pollock) 5.12.1932 - 5.12.2022.
Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5th, 2022, on her 90th Birthday, at Te Nīkau Hospital, Greymouth. Dearly loved wife of the late John (Jack) Edward Cockfield. Much loved mother and mother in law of Ngaire (deceased) and Barry Townrow, Jack and Trudy, Laurie and Veronica, and Alan. A treasured Nana to Rachel and Bruce, Carly, Clair and Mathew, Stacey, Brooke and Ben, Jayden,and Danny and Lilly. A very special Great Gran to Tessa, Milah and Bodhi. A celebration of Isabel’s life will be held at the FW Hagedorn Memorial Chapel, 123 Derby Street, Westport, on Thursday, December 8, at 1.30pm. A private family interment will follow. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr Vaughan Leigh and O’Conor Home staff for their care and friendship.

Where to start... A lady of grace, who was so loving, kind and just a beautiful person. I remember the cricket in the hall way, the smell of coal as the fire was lit while we sat with our feet resting below the mantle, the running of feet if the slipper was ever brought out (those naughty boys) and the smell of Oil of Olay as she hugged you. Untie Isabella was an amazing part of my childhood. If she said jump!! you asked how high as my respect for her goes beyond words. May you be reunited with Uncle Jack and Ngaire and your rainbow forever shine down on us. A very sad day celebrating an amazing lady. Sending so much love to you all.
