Dear Gail, Anna and Matthew I've just watched Steve's funeral video and was so moved by the way you all spoke of your dear Steve. Ken and I only got to see him if you came down occasionally for Christmas in Christchurch. My memories of him then were just as you said, gentle, loving, the twinkle in his eye and his sincerity. Your memories of the love, fun and hard work preparing for life together with your children was so inspiring as you shared these things at his lovely service. I have a deeper appreciation of who he was, and who you and your children loved so dearly. Thank you Gail and family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Maewyn

Although i never meet Steve's family, Steve was a great colleague and had such a kind heart. He never got angry or at least didn't show it if he was. People loved him and we as a team enjoyed his company! My hearts go out to the family and may God be with you through this tough time.

To Aunty Gail, Anna and Matt, A lovely service to celebrate and honour your husband and Dad's life. Many memories remembered and shared. Memories popped up for me while the service took place. Ones that I will always remember. Thinking and praying for you all over this time as your family journey through this season. A big hug to you all and take care. Although I cannot formally speak on behalf of my work colleagues, I do know that I echo the thoughts & feelings of so many that Steve worked with at Air NZ. He was a highly skilled & very respected colleague, well- liked by all. He always had a ready smile, would always provide willing help or advise, he could be acutely observant & comment appropriately.
