Elsie is a marvellous person with such great attributes. Memories of her helping unstintingly at the 2012 Growers’ book launch, singing heartily with Rosie and Awi at a wedding and reminiscing with good humour about her mother-in-law in an interview are instances of impressionable moments we can all retell.
Dear Andrea and family. Sincere condolences on the passing of Elsie. Your mum was all things bright and beautiful and her "can do" mana is an inspiration to all. Elsie's legacy lives on in you and beyond. Do take comfort that your beloved mum is now with the angels in Our Lord's embrace and in the Garden of Eden. Rest in Peace Elsie. You have run the race with beaming smiles and love. Vivian and Joe
My sincere condolences to Elsie's family. I am so grateful that I had the chance to meet Elsie through her dedicated involvement in the Chinese Women's Group at Mangere Bridge. Elsie had such a positive outlook on life no matter what happened that is an inspiration to us all. She said it all with her cheery smile and friendly, caring nature. I will miss my friend. Rest in peace Elsie.
It feels so surreal that we will never see Elsie’s beautiful smiling face again. What an amazing woman she was and inspiration to us all. From the moment you met Elsie, she made you feel like you were a lifelong friend. Elsie will be so sorely missed by so many people she came across in her lifetime with all her clubs she attended, church and events she went to. Bruce had known Elsie’s family since he was a boy growing up in Rotorua. The Kai Fong family lived down the road and owned the local fruit shop. I am so pleased I got the opportunity to walk along side you at Mall Fit and listen to the wonderful stories and tales you told about your life & family. RIP our gorgeous Elsie.
