Smithies, Fred Allan, Unexpectedly at home on Friday 06 January 2023. Beloved husband of the late Faye. Loved father and father-in-law of Allan and Monique, Brendon and Kate. Loved grandad of Oliver, Anah, Finn and Mackenzie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Bob and Elaine, Sid and the late Jan, Alice and the late Eric, Jan, Dot, the late Les and Shona, Maree and Lindsay. A loved uncle to many. I am sorry to read of Fred's passing. I spent several weeks with Fred and Faye up at Cancer House in Dunedin, just over 15 years ago. I kept in contact with them through the years and found them both such lovely people. Sending our love and condolences to your family, You will miss Fred terribly. Rest peacefully Fred .
