I didn't know Bob, but he sounded like a great chap with a fabulous heart and a kind person who wears many hats like my Dad did. My condolences to the family from Wendy Barclay Wilson Inglwood RSA and RNZRSA.
When Mum and Dad moved to Inglewood Mum was so chuffed to connect with you again after being at Mangaroa School with you in the early 1930's. Mum recalled seeing you last in 1964 when Mum, Dad and I went to the Mangaroa School 50th Jubilee in 1964. Dad so enjoyed your company, especially at the Club in the years after we lost Mum in 2003, thanks for keeping an eye out for Dad and walking beside him each ANZAC Dawn Parade, Bob. And then you bought Dad's green Mazda, Dad's first ever brand new car, he was pleased that you would get to enjoy it. He took a lot of pride in that car. One of life's true gentlemen, gone but not forgotten. Thanks for the opportunity to know you Bob, Rest in Peace.
