Michael was one of my trainers when i started at MPI. He was kind, caring and was a wealth of knowledge. I loved all of our conversations. I always came away from them having learnt something new. Rest in Peace Michael.
I say goodbye to a good friend, manager and mentor in our time working together. I will see you in heaven Michael.
We did meet Micheal when we were on holiday in NZ (2002/2003) visiting our family over there and your beautiful country. With his dad Gerald and Judy we visited him when he was managing the Forest Nursery. Many years later we met his son Richard and again some years later his daughter Tiffeny when they were visiting Holland. We did hear a lot of Micheal and get to know him from Gerald, Judy and his uncle Mies (Michel in NZ?)and of course from his kids. All expressed very well in the talks in the service we saw. Please keep sweat memories in your hearts.❤️
I first met Michael in 2007 when I joined MAF. Michael was one of my trainers, and his guidance & continued support were invaluable during this time. I then had the pleasure of working with Michael again more recently when he began his last working role with MPI based at the Plant Health and Environment Lab. Once again, his kind, caring, friendly manner shone through and his willingness to share knowledge, experiences, learn new things and his innate mentoring were truly valued. Michael you were not only a colleague but a friend, a true gentle man. We will miss you.
Michael was our oldest second cousin in nz. We met him during our holidays in nz. Michael was an enterprising friendly man.a real family man with a lot of humour. He was sympathetic to other's , modest with a cheerful personality..we wish the family many beautiful memories to ease their loss.
Personally, Michael became one of the highlights for me upon joining MPI in 2015. He trained us well and shared much of his knowledge and experiences. Michael was very gentle, passionate and thorough with the work he did. He made all training and learning experiences fun and really engaged with you during the learning process. I am saddened upon hearing of Michael's passing and I extend my deepest condolences to his family - my prayers and thoughts are with you. Please let me know if I can assist with anything. You will be dearly missed Michael. Rest in peace. JS
I worked with Michael for a number of years, he welcomed me into MPI with his characteristic warmth, good chat and sharing his In-depth knowledge of the world we worked in. He was a very kind, caring and passionate person willing to share himself with you. I was very sad upon hearing of his passing and extend my deepest condolences to his family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Michael was a work colleague and friend for several years. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. I am saddened by his passing at such an early age and my thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
