CATTO, Ian Alexander: Died peacefully on Saturday January 28, 2023 aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Patricia, loved father and father-in-law of Hamish and Tania, Catherine and Ian, Richard and Vickie, Janet and Malcolm, the late David, and Jennie. A loved Grandfather and Great Grandfather and loved brother of Hugh (Oamaru). Life is just a one way walk. A funeral service for Ian will be held at the Shone and Shirley Funeral Home, 164 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson at 2pm Thursday February 2. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ian can be made to the NZ Flying Doctor Service, online at nzflyingdoctors.co.nz or at the service. Although we didn't know Ian well, we were lucky enough to spend a weekend in the Sounds with him. He seemed like a lovely man and we had a taste of his humour and kind nature. We send our love and condolences to our friends Cathy and Ian and all the family.
