We students knew the Brothers as mostly authoritarian, and keen on discipline! We didn't realise then that they were helping form our character and to become decent citizens. We gave them nick-names. Brother Jury's was "Grim Jim". We were aware of his excellence as a teacher especially in maths and science, (not so much in Mesopotamian history in the third form) and his skill as a rugby coach. Listening to the reminiscences from his family and community I gained a greater insight into Vincent Jury, the man, and am most grateful. He gained extra "brownie points" for having Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" played during the photo montage. Thank you for all you did for us, Brother. Requiescat in Pace.
