20 October 1962 – 20 February 2023
Died suddenly but peacefully at home in her sleep, aged only 60 years. Dearly beloved wife, soulmate and best friend of Prof Charles McGhee for 32 years and loving sister to Kate, Susan and Charlie Oliver. Doting aunt to a close-knit clan of ten nieces and nephews stretching from the Antipodes to Scotland. Treasured by friends and staff, students and patients over 23 years of working in the School of Medicine. Jane was a vivacious, beautiful, humorous and an extremely kind and thoughtful soul, and her love and ability to light up a room will be forever missed. The service will be at All Saints Chapel Purewa at midday Thursday 2nd March, followed by a reception at St John's lounge. It will also be live streamed through the link on this page. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to the NZ National Eye Bank to sustain corneal transplantation. This can be done through the link below.
