Warren , my step brother loved the water and we enjoyed many camping and surfing adventures with Merv and Mryle at Waipu as young teenagers He was a good mate to be around. RIP Warren Our sincere condolences to Cynthia and family Bob grove family
I had the pleasure of living with Warren and his family for many years and I got to complete a lot of firsts with Warren - sailing, water-skiing, dredging for scallops, driving a boat and getting told off for a variety of reasons. He was like a second father to me during this time and thoroughly treasured his company and the many Christmas Day golf celebrations. You will forever have made an impact on my life and I hope you are now resting in peace!!! Lots of love to Cynthia, Jase, Nick and Lauren and the rest of the Best Family and Friends. Marty & Sam xxx
I met Lauren’s family when we were studying. I remember first saying hello to Warren “Lauren’s dad” at their Takapuna home and his lovely welcoming smile. I remember when he told me to blow a pipe of an interesting windmill gadget he had made. He showed me and it spun. Then I had a go and it blew flour in my face and he chuckled. I looked after the house in Omaha and got to experience their amazing lifestyle. The family make you feel grounded and apart of it. Their a solid family that love life together. They all accomplish their dreams and seem to enjoy every moment along the way. I think Warren worked to LIVE travelling to jobs with his dog Mitzy and loved to come home to his life by the sea. What an impression you made X
We have known Warren and Cynthia since Lauren and our daughter went to Takapuna Primary together. We had some wonderful times together full of laughter and many fishing stories!! Life gets in the way sometimes but memories are always there. Warren was a lovely man with a mischievous smile and we're so glad to have had him in our lives. May your boat rest easy on the sea until we meet again my friend.
I was lucky enough to meet Warren way back in the early 70s when I joined the Northcote Rugby Club and got to play along side Warren in the Cote Senior team when it travelled overseas playing rugby. Warren was not a big guy had a big heart & always played above his weight. Warren loved his fishing and I remember how easy it was at times to talk him out of some plumbing job so we could go out. A great guy who always had a smile and will be remembered by many, Sincere condolences to Cynthia & Family. R.I.P. Warren.
We were great friends in our twenties and Warren and I went through our plumbing apprenticeship together. Although we didn’t see much of each other over the last few years our friendship was always strong. You will be sadly missed by your family and friends. Be at peace now Warren.
Such a lovely man. I was lucky enough to spend a few weekends and even a hoilday away with Warren, such a wonderful and peaceful bloke, he will be missed by many.
Warren was such a wonderful and caring man. I couldn't have asked for a better father in-law and grandparent for my children. He will be missed greatly. Even though you have left your physical body you will never be gone as we will forever carry you in our hearts. Love you with all my heart Wazza. xx
