McBAIN, Daphne C E. At Invercargill on Friday, 24th February 2023, peacefully.  Dearly loved wife of the late Angus, loved mother of Janice and Barry, special grandmother of Kerren and great and great great grandmother.  Resting peacefully “no more pain”.  At Daphne’s request, a private cremation has been held.  

          A special thank you to Judith, caregivers, district nurses, social workers and

                        Rowena Jackson for their help and care over the years.

Daphne, I remember you as the little lady that gave out Christmas present. With that big smile. Then life change and we left each other. Yes, I believe you had me and my sister on your wall, we were dressed up in dresses. I hope you are in a better place up there. And I hope your wishes are granted xoxo

A great lady. I worked with Daphne at John Edmond Ltd in the early 1980s. Such a great co worker.

Now and Peace after a long hard battle. To be admired for her determination to stay as independant as possible for as long as she could. A special mention to Claire who stood by her side and allowed Daph to continue living in her home which she loved. Her body eventually gave up but her mind was sharp. Stubborn and determined she battled on. Remembered with love and admiration. RIP Daph xx Glenda Withington.
