We have many found memories of a kind and gentle man sharing holidays with the family at Snells Beach and visits to Huntly. Our thoughts are with Valerie and the family at this sad time. The Exeters.

So sad to hear you've left your beautiful family Rex. It was an honor to be Val's Matron of Honor at your wedding. I remember it as a day full of love and humor - even when you had a few words to say on the day, the most important was 'I DO' and you certainly fulfilled that to Val. The smile on your face on your wedding, was beautiful as you shared your joy with your beautiful bride. Even though I haven't seen you and family much, I've been kept up with your news and always the devotion you and Val had to your family. Rest in Peace, beautiful man. Sonny Boy you will be missed by all of your family. Val and your girls can look up to you Sonny Boy as you were truly inspirational. You were like a giant native tree as the head of the family after your parents had passed. Your tree roots spread out and touched so many people. I was one of the people you touched with May your sister and our kids having been blessed to know you and all your family. Rest in peace as your work has been done. I had only just started when Rex thew me in for grading up against these big guns ?? was crapping myself but ended up enjoyed it. Just want to send our condolences to Val the girls and our Whanau back home sorry we couldn’t be there with you guys at this sad time but we will be thinking of you all.
