So so sad to hear of Curlys passing 😪😪 Lots of awesome memory's in Milford Sound when our Grandad Ray and Nana Raye managed the Crayfish Factory. Dear Vanessa, Anika and Atlantis Have been thinking of you all day today, and I'm so sorry I could not make it up to Westport for Curly's funeral today. I cried watching his beautiful service online just now, you have lost a beautiful husband and father. May you cherish beautiful memories forever in your hearts - Curly was a super special soul and will forever be remembered. Your wonderful family bond will help you through this tough time, as will friends and family - we are only ever a phone call away. I’ll miss our fortnightly catch ups on the phone mate, you lived a full life and packed so much into 66 years, you leave a massive legacy to your wonderful family. Rest in peace And to quote an old saying from an ancient sailor I will peacefully furl my sail, in a mooring safe from sea and Gale, and be greeting friends who have crossed before, over the unknown sea to the unknown shore. He was one special man

Was sad to hear about Carly’s passing. He meant a lot to me and was a big influence On my life. He may not have known it but he taught me a lot Of things up. Sorry we couldn’t make it back but we all watched the service live Iris,s family and all here in the Philippines. Isis, mum remembered curly from her time visiting Westport. The legend will remain in our hearts. Steve & Iris and family.

Curly was a great man and I'll alway remember him that way he was my boss for 5 years at buller auto parts and was the best boss I have ever had he also saved us on the sea near the steeples because our boat would not start I'll ever be eternally greatfull ild like to extend my love to the family and friends of curly you will never be forgotten mate
