Very sorry to hear of Allans passing. Allan and Norma were great friends of our parents both in Golf and Bowling where they participated over many years . They were wonderful people and Allan was always so ready to help or coach you in Cricket and Golf. A lot of fun. They are still remembered fondly by our family. Alan was a longtime friend of Ritchie and I back in Otautau years ago. My condolences to the Fisher family. Fay Ballam Wanaka
I moved to Otautau in 1967, aged 22 and was elected to the Otautau Town Council where Allan was the Town Clerk. He was extremely knowledgeable, competent, and very helpful towards a new councilor. He held high office in Masonry and my respect for him continued to grow from that role. He lived a full and interesting life, and I maintained occasional contact after following him to an Arrowtown retirement.
