Gunde and Marion were friends of our late parents George and Kauri. They worked together share milking on Lower Rowan Rd, Kaponga. Gunde had a great sense of humour and we remember his great joke telling and his laughter. We have many memories and photos of us all hanging out in our family homestead especially with Gunde in his police uniform. Gunde will be sadly missed, our condolences to Christine, Ross and Grant. I recall a day I was working at Gunde's home .. Gunde had a dispute with his neighbour , it was shaping to be a fisty cuff .. Gundy said come on then .. the neighbour replied I can't hit a man with glasses .. Condolences to Christine and family. I worked for Gunde and Marion for a short period back at Palmer Road so may years ago. Whilst not close friends, I was always remembered the few times we met over the years. Later we became friends with Christine and Kerry through work in Brisbane.
